Diebold recognized as top innovator and
leading technology company
Diebold was recently recognized by Bank Technology News (BTN) as one of the top
20 technology companies and innovation leaders. BTN placed
Diebold on its “Innovations” list for the company’s next-generation
ATMs and reported that “whether it’s display images of digitized
checks, coin dispensers or envelope-free deposits, chances are it
happened here first, in the early 1990s.”
Diebold recognized again as one of the best
workplaces
in Northeast Ohio
Diebold was recently selected as one of NorthCoast 99’s top
workplaces for its ability to attract, retain and motivate top
performers by maintaining a foundation of organizational policies
and practices that are designed to support the fundamental needs of
great talent. This is the second time Diebold received this
recognition.
NorthCoast 99
is an annual recognition program that honors 99 great workplaces for
top talent in Northeast Ohio. The program was developed and is
presented by the Employers Resource Council (ERC), Northeast Ohio’s
largest employers association. Other 2007 winners include Summa
Health System, FedEx Custom Critical and InfoCision Management
Corporation.
Cross Keys Bank deploys Diebold’s ImageWay
payment processing solution
After a successful
implementation
of Diebold’s integrated services solutions in October 2006, Cross
Keys Bank of Louisiana recently deployed another Diebold solution –
ImageWay® payment processing. This solution gives financial
institutions the ability to reduce the costs of servicing large
volume deposit clients with image-based check processing services
while capturing market share.
With ImageWay payment processing, Cross Keys Bank’s
commercial customers can scan checks and receive same-day credit,
eliminating the need to prepare handwritten deposit tickets and
drive to the bank to make deposits. It also provides a browser-based
interface, online home page marketing capabilities, and the
flexibility to tailor the program to fit the bank’s needs on daily
cutoff times and more.
“Merchant capture is helping round out the total
delivery of services from Diebold to the bank,” said Diebold’s
David Bucci, senior vice president, customer solutions group.
“Cross Keys Bank associates like the idea that they can utilize an
industry leader as their single point of contact to receive
professional help immediately on several important areas that effect
their customers. We help them better serve their customers.”
Diebold signs agreement with World Wildlife Fund
to support energy saving campaign
Diebold recently signed an agreement with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
in Beijing, China, to become a supporter of its “20 Ways To 20
Percent Energy Saving Campaign” and assist the Chinese government in
pledging to reduce energy consumption by 20 percent by 2010.
“Diebold is committed to the promotion of environmental protection
activities, and considers this endeavor part of our corporate
culture,” said Daniel Hu, Diebold’s vice president and managing
director, North Asia and China. “The signing ceremony will also
serve as a reminder for our associates to be conscious of
environmental protection in every aspect of their lives, including
work.”
As part of its efforts, Diebold will distribute brochures about
WWF’s campaign to customers in an effort to publicize energy
conservation and environmental protection.
