Diebold
recognized as one of the best workplaces
in Northeast Ohio
Diebold
was recently selected as one of NorthCoast 99’s top workplaces for
its ability to attract, retain and motivate top performers by
maintaining a foundation of organizational policies and practices
that are designed to support the fundamental needs of great talent.
NorthCoast 99
is an annual recognition program that honors 99 great workplaces for
top talent in Northeast Ohio. The program was developed and is
presented by the Employers Resource Council (ERC), Northeast Ohio’s
largest employers association. Past winners include Summa Health
System, FedEx Custom Critical and InfoCision Management Corporation.
“Diebold is a progressive company that strives to provide
industry leading benefits to its associates including adoption
assistance, on-site medical screenings and other innovative medical
health plans,” said Sheila Rutt, Diebold’s vice president and chief
human resources officer. “Diebold has a long history as an Ohio

build a company that recognizes the importance of its workforce and
rewards performance. This award is an excellent local achievement

and deliver excellence.”
Diebold’s
Event Monitoring Center associates
test disaster site during renovations
Diebold’s Event Monitoring Center (EMC) associates recently tested
their remote, planned disaster site during minor renovations at the
Green, Ohio, facility. The Event Monitoring Center disaster site
provides customers a backup to ensure continued operations in the
case of a crisis or disaster at the Green facility.
During the renovations, dispatchers spread over two shifts worked at
the remote location while maintaining regular operations. By
transferring video and communication lines from the Green office to
the Canton, Ohio, office, the EMC team was able to make a seamless
transition. Two other departments, which remained in different areas
of the Green office, kept communication lines open by patching phone
calls to the remote site throughout the day.
“A lot of times, disaster plans are never practiced
until an actual disaster occurs,” said Diebold’s Paul Yost,
supervisor of the EMC. “This is a success for us because it proves
that we can operate out of multiple facilities and provide excellent
service to each customer.”
During the test, dispatchers
processed three actual alarm calls. When the renovations were
complete, the midnight shift reported back to the original site and
resumed normal operations.
