White paper serves as reference for international police organization
Diebold’s ATM Fraud and Security white paper was recently posted on INTERPOL’s internal, secure Web site as a reference for police officers who investigate payment card and related crimes. INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, consisting of 186 member countries. Created in 1923, INTERPOL facilitates cross-border police cooperation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime.

The white paper highlights types of ATM fraud, ATM fraud techniques, tips for fighting fraud and securing ATMs as well as recent trends.

“This request provides Diebold the opportunity to demonstrate our thought leadership and security expertise and to help educate international law enforcement in the detection and deterrence of ATM-related crime,” explained Diebold’s Terrie Ipson, product marketing manager, ATM security and fraud. “We are proud to be referenced by the world’s largest international police organization and join in its mission to thwart criminals and protect consumers.”

Product video and commercial win industry awards
Diebold’s ATM Office Suite™ commercial (.mpg video) and Agilis EmPowerŪ video (.mpg video) recently received the following awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals and the AEGIS Video and Film Production organizations:

  • Gold Marcom Award – Diebold’s ATM Office Suite commercial and Agilis EmPower video received this award for their overall creativity including inventiveness and resourcefulness, as well as for their artistic approach. 
  • AEGIS Award – Diebold’s Agilis EmPower video received this award for its well-structured content, ability to hold viewers’ interest, use of professional techniques and high production values.

Marcom Awards, sponsored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communications programs and print, visual and audio materials. The AEGIS Awards is a leading competition that recognizes people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective video and film productions being produced today.

“We continually strive to produce marketing materials that have the highest impact with our customers and promote Diebold and our solutions to position us as a market leader,” explained Diebold’s Keith Lewis, director, solutions marketing. “Winning these awards was the result of many hours of hard work and collaboration.”

Security expert discusses disaster recovery at
industry conference

Jacky Grimm
, Diebold’s director, event monitoring center, recently presented at the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Disaster Recovery Conference in San Francisco, Calif. As a featured speaker, Grimm discussed disaster management and the link between risk assessment, disaster response and security.

This year’s conference focused on preparing for potential disasters and crisis by creating a business continuity plan and learning how to implement it when the time comes. It also gave attendees the opportunity to talk with companies that are experienced in providing solutions for disaster recovery.

Grimm said attendees were most interested in learning about power and communication back-up as well as tips that Diebold has learned. More than 50 people from credit unions throughout the United States attended the conference.
