| It’s
top-down, bottom-up and across the organization: our efforts to improve
the way our people work together to bring value to our customers and win
marketshare across all the boundaries.
It was not enough, for example, that we created global
teams dedicated to better serving selected multinational customers. So
we went one step further. Every senior executive of the company is assigned
lead responsibility for one or more of these teams, which frequently meets
with their customers on a regular basis.
And that’s just one of the ways we’re ensuring
our people understand the dynamics of our marketplace, the needs of our
customers, and our company’s vision, culture and strategies. We
continue to roll out information systems and tools that connect the right
people with the right information across our organization, allowing our
associates to work together more efficiently and effectively. And we continue
to introduce new training programs that instill a common sense of corporate
values and business priorities.
