The training facility is shared by both
Diebold and Stark State College of Technology. It is located on the college
campus and is referred to as the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) and the
Diebold Education Center. Diebold classrooms are located on the upper level of
the facility and Stark State College of Technology classrooms are located on the
lower level. Diebold students are not permitted to enter the lower level except
the cafeteria during the lunch hour.
Class schedule:
Classes run 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., except on half-days, when dismissal is at noon. No
return flights before 1:30 p.m. on half-day dismissal, and no flights before
6:30 p.m. on 5:00 p.m. dismissal.
Dress code:
Dress code at the Diebold Education Center is business casual;
no blue jeans or sneakers.
Smoking:
The Diebold Education Center is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted
within the training facility nor in the vans. The only designated smoking area
is at the rear of the training facility
beyond the parking lot.
Textbooks/supplies:
Course materials, notebook paper, highlighters, pencils and pens are provided.
Students may bring any special materials, as they deem necessary.
First aid:
Limited supplies are available from your instructor.
Phone messages:
Messages will be posted on the classroom door window/glass.
Telephones/e-mails: Telephones are available for
your use in the phone room T2-10. The phones are set up for long distance by
dialing 9.
Shipping your documentation:
You have the option of shipping your books, prints, etc. back to
your office or home. (Diebold cannot ship personal items). Boxes, tape and
shipping request forms (with samples of how to fill them out) are available
through your instructor. We must have a street address and zip code on the
shipping memo (a P.O. Box number is not acceptable).
International student's shipments must have
a bill of materials accompany the package for customs. The "BOM" must include
your name, phone number, each items value, a statement of what the material is
to be used for, and a total value for the shipment.
Meals:
Breakfast - if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Belden Village, a full
breakfast buffet at Belden Village Bar and Grille is complimentary for Diebold
students. Refreshments - during the day: coffee, teas, soft drinks and snacks
are available in the break area, room T201. Lunch - provided in the Diebold
Education Center cafeteria each day. The cafeteria is shared by both Diebold and
Stark State College of Technology students. Diebold students will be served
lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The luncheon meal is cafeteria style: your
choices for lunch include a main entree, soup, or sandwich from the grill with
side specials, or a salad from the salad bar... enjoy! Please be expedient at
lunch to give the kitchen associates time to reset the cafeteria area for the
Stark State College of Technology students.
