Audience:
System and application programmers responsible for interfacing an ATM running in
91x mode with an application in a direct-connect (host) or controller
environment.
Prerequisites:

Description/objectives:
Through presentations and various lab exercises the student will be able to:

Describe the
ATMs and their components

Perform
maintenance mode tasks that affect the programming of an ATM
-
Discuss and
identify possible processes for performing PIN verification
-
Identify
configuration data: States, Screens, Timers & miscellaneous, and FITs
-
Interpret state
data, design standard monochrome and color screens, analyze Financial
Institution Table (FIT) records

Discuss methods
for modifying configurations data: (Internal editors; third party editors
such as Paragon)

Interpret 91x
message flows between the ATM and a driver

Convert numbers
from Decimal to Binary and Hexadecimal
