CashGard®
Safe
CashGard
safes are a superior line of UL-listed burglar-resistive depository chests.
These safes come in a variety of sizes, capabilities and exterior colors for
virtually any financial application.
A wide variety of modular
components are available for customized configurations of these safes
including individually lockable storage compartments for bulk cash, cash trays,
documents, etc.
Resistance
to attack
Available in UL-TL15 and TL-30 models, CashGard chests
are designed with specially formulated high tensile strength steels to meet UL's
15-minute TL-15 door attack and 30-minute TL-30 door performance tests as well
as other UL performance tests. CashGard safes achieved outstanding results in
performance tests using cut-off saws, electronic drills, punches and even
sledgehammers.
CashGard’s energy
absorbing doors obstruct prying attempts. Doors are secured by 1-inch
(25.4 mm) diameter plated and case hardened steel bolts. The bolt work provides
for both "live" bolts on the strike side of the chest and fixed
"dead" bolts on the hinge side of the chest for enhanced security.
The unique bolt work cam action is designed to delay an attack. Drilling and
forcing one bolt will not allow the entire bolt work system to be forced open -
each bolt would require a separate attack. Bolt work detent ensures the door is
closed before the bolts are thrown to protect against damage to the door and
bolt work.
To protect the lock from
being drilled, a specially-designed protection plate is positioned behind the
door and a UL-tested mechanical re-locker covers the lock area for improved
attack resistance. CashGard safes can be equipped with a wide
variety of electronic and/or mechanical lock options.
Alarm
packages
The chest is designed to be equipped with a comprehensive range of
alarm components and packages from a simple door contact switch to a
comprehensive facility alarm system located in the safe. Alarm locations are
predrilled so components can be factory installed or installed on-site, allowing
complete flexibility in configuring an alarm system that meets your requirements
at any time.

wide variety of standard sizes are available, as well as the capability to
provide custom sizes as required.

MasterGard Safe
MasterGard safes are designed to meet your requirements for security,
functionality and flexibility. Both physical protection from attack and fire
protection are incorporated into a single, sophisticated design, making it
particularly well-suited for applications where cash and other paper valuables
are threatened by the potential risks of burglaries and fire.
The design of Diebold's MasterGard chest allows for a reduced
weight-to-volume ratio. The walls are made from high-density composite material
surrounded by an inner and outer jacket of steel plates. This design allows
reduced thickness for lower shipping and handling weight, while maintaining high
strength for optimum security and fire-resistive ratings.
Nine standard models are available in a variety of sizes and interior storage
capacities with a wide range of storage options making it ideal for cash and
paper records storage in back rooms, as well as teller/personnel work areas.
Choose from a wide variety of options including adjustable and/or fixed shelves,
lockable storage compartments for bulk items, cash trays, letters, documents,
etc. to configure a custom interior to meet your specific needs.
Resistance to Attack
The Underwriters' Laboratories Inc. (UL) UL-30 label assures the MasterGard
design and locking system have passed the 30-minute timed performance test for
burglar attack resistance. Each unit qualifies for Mercantile & Broadform
insurance Class "F" with a Bank Rating of "G."
Doors are secured by one-inch-diameter chromed steel locking bolts that are
handle-activated. To assure the boltwork is not damaged during daily operation,
a bolt tensioner keeps locking bolts retracted when the door is open. Also, the
solid steel dead bolts prevent door removal if the hinges are removed during a
forced-entry attack.
Fire Resistance
The 2-hour 350-degree manufacturer's fire protection label documents that paper
inside the unit has successfully withstood external temperatures up to 1,850
degrees for two hours.
