In locations where the weight and size of typical vault construction is prohibitive, Diebold’s Super-strength Modular Vault Walls provide an attractive alternative.

Constructed of unique materials, using steel fiber technology and reinforcing rods, Diebold Super-strength Modular Vault panels have been engineered to exceed security protection performance criteria as established by UL and Insurance Services Office standards. The panel design was tested by UL and met or exceeded the standards for UL 608 Modular Vault Panels Class 1 and 2.

Design
Standard sized panels can be combined to erect vaults of almost any size.  In addition, customer specified widths, heights and lengths and shapes can be fabricated. Existing rooms or older vaults within a building can be lined with panels to retrofit or construct a vault. Standard configurations are available for vaults up to 24’D x 9’8” W x 8’6”H (7.3m x 2.9m x 2.6 m).  Your Diebold representative can provide a customized quote for larger or irregularly shaped vaults.

Fabrication
Panels are carefully fabricated to exacting standards according to customer specifications. Because the material used in these panels is resistant to environmental elements, they provide a significant advantage over laminated panel systems constructed of organic materials that can deteriorate over time due to moisture and other elements. Panels are constructed of high-density, fiber reinforced chemically bonded concrete and achieve a minimum compressive strength of 25,000 PSI (2003.7 Kb/cm2).

Panels can be fabricated in widths up to  60” (1524 mm).

Class 1 wall panels are 2.5” (63.5 mm) thick and weigh 42 lb. per square foot (205 kg per square meter); ceiling and floor panels are 3" (76.2 mm) thick and weight 50 lb. per square foot (244.1 kg per square meter)

Class 2 panels are 4” (101.6 mm) thick and weigh 67 lb. per square foot (327.1 kg per square meter).

Installation and Relocation
Pre-engineered panels allow fast, easy installation. Panels arrive on site, fully cured and ready to be installed in as little as a single day.

Diebold-trained technicians, part of a 2,300 member strong nationwide service and support organization, construct each vault on-site according to stringent Diebold installation standards and procedures.  Panels are butt-joined to form standard custom-designed  5-sided or 6-sided vault configurations.

An optional HVAC port allows ductwork entry while maintaining structural integrity of the vault and UL listing.
