Diebold's
drive-up transaction windows provide a cost-effective approach to reducing
transaction turn-around times and improving operational efficiency.
Important
characteristics that set Diebold transaction windows apart include bullet
resistance, ease of installation and maintenance, attractive appearance and
compatibility with standard workstation components.
Bullet Resistance
All models are UL listed for either Level One, Level Three or Level
One Insulated bullet resistance. Every model
features UL tested durable bullet-resistive frames and mullions and UL listed
laminated glass Hurricane certified to Dade Country, Florida Building Code.
Unlike
some drive-up transaction windows that use non-bullet-resistive frames, all
Diebold window frames are constructed of carbon steel and are coated with a
durable powder paint finish. All mullions between the glass panels are also
bullet-resistive.
The
Level One glass, rated for medium power small arms products, consists of five
laminations. The glass comes
standard in a clear tint and is angled outward at the top of the window to
reduce glare and reflection.
Assembly and Installation
All windows are shipped in
kit form and only require an easy screw together installation. This eliminates
the expense and difficulty of handling a large, awkward and heavy assembled
window at the job site.
Diebold’s
exclusive and patented system simplifies replacing glass. The glass is secured
from the inside but removed from the outside eliminating the need to dismantle
countertops or carry heavy panels of glass through the facility.
Product Descriptions
Standard and
deluxe models are available in single, double or triple widths to
accommodate
one, two, or three operators/tellers.
Deluxe
models add an attractive and distinctive weather-resistant polished stainless
steel trim package which covers a full brick gap on all four sides of the window
opening.

Diebold transaction windows can be equipped with Diebold's large capacity
counterette and metal undercounter equipment, and can accommodate any
Diebold pneumatic (VAT) system.

Transaction Drawers
Diebold offers a full
range of drawers and pass-through trays for transferring items back and forth
between customer and teller. Used in conjunction with bullet-resistive windows,
they promote efficient operation, customer convenience and a more secure
environment
for people and assets.
These drawers are UL listed for Level One and Level Three bullet resistance.
Features:
- Made of a combination of stainless steel and galvanized steel with powder
coated paint for long life without corrosion.
- Large capacity 990 cubic inches of usable space to handle package sizes as
well as standard transaction media.
- Built-in audio (speaker and microphone) for ease of installation.
- Easy to see lighted Call Button
- Extension is a full 14-1/2" from the face of the building wall.
- Generous workspace for keyboards and areas for writing.
- Exclusive wind bail system to secure documents from being blown out during
the transaction cycle.
- Safety Interlock to prevent direct access between the customer and the
user. This prevents an opportunity for harm to come to the user and
deters a "grab" style theft through the opening.
- Drop front design enables the teller to easily see the car and drawer
extension, so that the drawer can be stopped before hitting the car.
- Easy-to-Use manual override in the event of a power failure.
- Optional 450-watt forced air heater system keeps the top and back of the
drawer warm to the touch and helps minimize cold air leakage into the drawer
cabinet.
Bullet
Resistive Wickets with Pass Tray
A bullet-resistive window
with pass-through tray allows passage of small items without physical contact
while maintaining normal two-way conversations. Windows are available
in
clamp-on or built-in models with several levels of bullet-resistive protection.
An optional glove rail extension is also available.
Large
Capacity Motorized Counterette
Designed for efficient
operation, customer convenience and overall reliability, Diebold’s Counterette
has earned the UL Level 1 Bullet Resistant rating.
A 950 cubic inch (2,413
cubic cm) capacity bin allows customers to
perform more of their transactions from the convenience of the drive-up lane.
Teller controls operation, extending the rubberized drop-front drawer a full 15
inches (38.1 cm) with the push of a button. In case of power loss, the drawer
can also be operated by a handle located on the teller side of the window.
Standard speaker and microphone system provides excellent customer
communications.
To maintain a more comfortable operating environment in cold
climates, an optional countertop heater kit is available.
Package
Receivers
Used in both lobbies and
drive-up installations, package receivers allow extra-large packages to pass
from one area to another. A door-type package receiver permits only
the inner
door or outer door to be operated at one time.
