Chris Gill
Senior Director, Diebold Consulting
Chris Gill, senior director, Diebold Consulting, is responsible for leading Diebold, Incorporated’s consulting business, which assists financial institution clients on topics related to branch transformation, channel optimization, efficiency improvement and customer experience. With more than 20 years of experience in retail banking and strategy consulting, Gill helps advise financial institutions on how to transform the branch customer experience while increasing operational efficiencies.
Prior to joining Diebold, Gill was director of Community Bank Business Development for SNL Financial. Gill held positions in retail banking at both Michigan National Bank and Commercial Federal Bank, where he led the distribution network planning group and implemented new branch concepts. Additionally, he was a senior manager at several consulting firms, including Deloitte Consulting and Dove Consulting.
Gill has spoken at a number of industry conference on issues related to retail banking. His presentations include “Best Practices in Improving Your Bank’s Efficiency Ratio” at the 2011 ABA Seminar for Bank Presidents and “Global Perspectives in Branch Banking” at the 2008 Best Practices in Retail Financial Services Symposium.
Gill received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College and a master of business administration from Tuck School of Business. Both institutions are located in Hanover, N.H.
A native of Ridgefield, Conn., Gill resides in Huntersville, N.C.

Jo Preuninger
Director, Diebold Consulting
Jo Preuninger is responsible for leading Diebold, Incorporated’s Consulting practice focused on solving clients’ challenges related to customer experience, efficiency optimization and revenue enhancement.
With more than 20 years of experience in retail banking and strategy consulting, Preuninger has expertise in developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain retail bank customers, motivate behavior change and drive overall profitability. Prior to joining Diebold, she held leadership positions in consulting, research and marketing for BAI, Dove Consulting and Earnings Performance Group. She began her career at IBM, engaging in retail banking, transaction processing, ATM switching and data center management.
Preuninger has spoken at the various SourceMedia, BAI, CUNA and NACHA conferences on consumer banking, payments and small business banking. Prior to joining BAI, she served on the BAI Retail Executive Advisory Board.
Preuninger received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Virginia Tech and an MLA and MDiv (focus in ethics) from The University of Chicago. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, she now resides in Chicago, Ill., where she leads workshops in corporate and personal ethics for graduate programs and professional networking groups.
