No other ATM provider can match Diebold’s security expertise.

Diebold's Global Security Task Force was established to collect, analyze, clarify, and disseminate fraud and security related news and information to help develop strategies to assist customers in responding to fraud and understanding fraud-deterrent tools and technologies.

The task force includes associates from many different Diebold locations around the world working together to reduce fraud, to improve security, and to support Diebold sales associates as consultative partners in the deterrence of ATM fraud and the promotion of branch security.

The mission of the task force is three-fold:

  • Deter criminal attempts to commit fraud by educating the industry and consumers about known and potential fraud attempts.
  • Detect and dismantle quickly any existing frauds being perpetrated.
  • Develop superior solutions to minimize losses related to fraud attacks.

Ken Justice, Diebold's vice president of global product marketing and management stated, "Our goal is to ensure that Diebold offers the industry's most secure products and services.
Our comprehensive approach to identifying and sharing this type of information will help position Diebold as an industry leader, making more and better fraud resistant tools and technology available throughout the world."

Task force members also participate on industry forums engaged in anti-fraud efforts, including the EFTA Anti-Fraud Task Force, the ATMIA Anti-Fraud Guidelines Team, and the Global ATM Security Alliance.

The task force develops and publishes “best practices” recommendations related to fraud and branch security.

Customers can email the task force at fraud@diebold.com. Emails will become part of a central database for information regarding known or emerging fraud attempts on the ATMs of Diebold or its competitors.
